From many parts of our wonderful planet you'll have the chance to view a total eclipse of the Moon on Sunday September 7th.
From the UK it will be a challenge - the Moon will already be totally eclipsed as it rises - So you may find it difficult to spot! But around 19:45 look low down on the eastern horizon and you'll have the chance to see this amazing sight.

Availability of viewing the total lunar eclipse

UK Viewing
It appears in the east as the sun sets in the west at around 19:45. Totality ends as the Moon clears the horizon. The first impression should be an oddly shaped Moon. If the totality is very dark then it may appear as if a slice has been taken out of the Moon.
As the evening moves on the pink colour will subside.
Wherever you are in the world, let me know if you spot this intriguing event!
